Marc Shulman, SrChLAP – Special Needs Planning
Since 1989, Marc has presented educational seminars and provided planning services throughout Southern California to both family and professional groups. He is the founder and President.
Marc’s passion for planning was inspired by observing his parent’s struggles in maintaining medical services and providing a quality lifestyle for his late brother Steven, who was developmentally delayed and physically challenged.
During the nineteen years Steven was a resident at the Los Angeles Retarded Citizens Foundation (LARC RANCH) in Saugus, California, Marc served as a member of their Auxiliary. In 1970, Marc was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
His introduction to special needs planning occurred in 1989 while attending a seminar presented by Dr. Richard W. Fee, founder of Estate Planning for the Disabled. Marc knew immediately that this was his life calling. He learned the process of how to help families avoid the problems his parents faced in trying to find the best care for Steven.
Marc’s career as a life planner began as a California State Director for Estate Planning for Persons with Disabilities. His years of training as a financial advisor, combined with his knowledge of special needs planning, proved invaluable to the thousands of families in Southern California who needed a genuinely caring and knowledgeable professional to help.
