The National Center on Life Planning (NCLP) today offers specialized training for professional advisors and seminars in life planning to families with a child or other relative with special needs.
The company is based in Northridge, California, and has historically provided services throughout the State of California. The organization now offers its services nationwide. The target market for the National Center on Life Planning can therefore be defined as any family with a child or other family member with a disability that needs help with life planning; and the attorneys, financial planners and insurance agents that wish to serve this sector of the population.
The United States has millions of families with children with a disability and the distribution by state mirrors the overall population in density. Any estate planning attorneys, financial planning professionals and insurance agents would benefit from the NCLP's training and support services. There is a need for thousands of professional advisors to be trained.

About the course “Special Needs Planning for Professional Advisors”
During the period in which the course was being created, and because of the complex and extensive information included, it was evident that in order for our students to be able to absorb and use what they would learn, it must be presented in a clear, concise and a somewhat entertaining format. You may have heard the term, “Edutainment.”
Three full days of sitting in a class listening to instructors (no matter how good they are) lecturing is not the best way to learn, and more importantly, retaining what is learned. It is said, “What I hear, I tend to forget. What I see, I remember. What I do, I understand.” Therefore, our students can expect to participate in various parts of the course, such as case studies and development.
“Our success is not measured by the number of students we teach, it is by how they apply what they learn.”
