Today, many persons with special needs are enjoying a normal life expectancy. The result is that they will likely outlive their parents or other primary caregivers. Planning is no longer an option. It is a necessity. Families have come to this realization and are now, more than ever, seeking professional assistance. They must resolve their concern about, “Who will care, when they are not there?” Unfortunately, uneducated advisors are providing well intended assistance, which in most cases creates more problems than it resolves. Those who are qualified in all areas of planning are too few and hard to find. The National Center on Life Planning is an educational organization specializing in special needs planning since 1989. Special Needs Planning Seminars
NCLP and founder Marc Shulman provide educational special needs planning seminars to families and organizations throughout the Los Angeles area. Marc is happy to speak at no cost to your support group, government agency, school, company or other group. Nothing will be sold and attendees will gain valuable knowledge they can use for their child’s special needs plan. Special Needs Planning No Cost Consultation
Free, in person, consultations are available to families of special needs children and other family members in the greater Los Angeles area. NCLP, located in Northridge, California, will sit down with you and walk you through your options for a life plan and special needs trust. This consultation is offered to you as an educational service of NCLP and there is no obligation. You will leave with information you can use to design a life plan for your loved one.
Special Needs Planning Services
Should you choose to work with NCLP to create your plan, this service is offered on a flat fee, low cost basis – often much lower that it would cost you to hire an attorney directly. Most attorneys, even special needs attorneys, simply don’t provide full service planning including the Special Needs Letter of Intent and care planning. During your planning meeting, NCLP will guide you through the process so you can gather the information and make the needed decisions. When you do meet with the special needs attorney on our team who will create the actual legal documents, much of the work is done. The financial savings are immeasurable. Besides the personal care you’ll receive from people who really understand your needs, NCLP also provides our proprietary Special Needs Letter of Intent to the families who choose to work with us to create their special needs plan. This document allows parents and family members to express their desires and intentions for all aspects of their child’s life, far beyond the legal and financial concerns. Special Needs Planning Training for Professionals
Marc Shulman, ChLAP is the author and creator of a special needs planning course for financial planners and financial advisors, attorneys, and insurance agents who work with special needs families.
